The Haunting of Bly Manor - Less Ryan Murphy, More Mike Flanagan
Friday Nov 20, 2020
Friday Nov 20, 2020
9 Episodes, the 1980s, creepy kids, crazy dream hopping and ghosts with no face. This is the Haunting of Bly Manor. Based on the novella "The Turning of the Screw," Mike Flanagan attempts to take a ridiculously boring story, and spice it up for our viewing pleasure on Netflix. There were things we liked, things we didn't, and episodes that should have been reordered, but we'll leave it to you for the final verdict.

Happy Halloween! In honor of the eve of our favorite holiday, we discuss the 1978 classic "Halloween" and its 1981 sequel "Halloween II." These films chronicle the classic slasher, Michael Myers, and his quest to kill his sister, Laurie Strode. We had a great time researching fun tidbits about both films.

Drunk Halloween History

Wednesday Oct 28, 2020
In celebration of our favorite holiday, this episode is Drunk Halloween History. For those of you that are fans of the show "Drunk History," this episode is very similar to that....except we had too much wine before recording.
Did you know that jack 'o-lanterns were previously carved out of turnips? Or that Halloween is based on the Celtic festival Samhain (which is a Gaelic word pronounced "sow-win")? Learn all of this and more! We apologize in advance.

Ratched - With an 'E-D'
Friday Oct 16, 2020
Friday Oct 16, 2020
If you love American Horror Story and Pennhurst Asylum, you'll love this series. It has absolutely nothing to do with the film "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," but it has all of the gore and unsettling plot twists that Ryan Murphy fans know and love. We were a split decision on this one, but we'd love to know what you think.

Wednesday Oct 14, 2020
Wednesday Oct 14, 2020
We love a good urban legend, so naturally we were really excited to check out the Urban Legends themed drive thru haunt in Orange County, CA. Held at the OC fair grounds in Costa Mesa, we'll review our experience, including what we would have changed. Drive thru haunts are tough to pull off, but we were really hoping for more from this one.
